The divisional round should be much more competitive - except perhaps for Saturday night's game when AFC South champion and No. 4 seed Houston visits AFC East king and No. 1 New England.
The Texans were able to take of the Oakland Raiders in the Wild Card round with a 27-14 win. The game kicks off on Saturday at 8:15 PM ET (5:15 PM PT) and can be seen on CBS.
Their first two scoring drives against the Raiders netted 10 points while amassing 12 yards from scrimmage, and they had six scoring jaunts (one touchdown, five field goals) in the regular season that gained less than 20 yards.
In order to stop the Patriots' offense, the Texans have to keep Brady on the sideline, which is easier said than done against a team that finished 14-2.
One of the more confusing prospects in this year's draft, no one is really sure if the versatile 6-foot-1, 205-pounder is a safety, a linebacker or a nickel corner. "Every single play in the playoffs is a very, very important play".
Tony Gonzalez: Maybe Tom Brady doesn't show up to the game? Just like the Denver Broncos, you've got to get Brady uncomfortable when he's dropping back for that pass. Jadeveon Clowney has a chance to make an impact on this game. "It's not something we're going to waste time worrying about". He needs to take care of the football, and Houston can't afford three turnovers like their previous folly in Foxborough. The positive gains he has made are being overlooked but he is going to have to put together the best game of his career on Saturday.
Bettors can also get +110 on the prospect of Brady throwing an interception.
Donald Trump threatens Toyota with high tax tariff in tweet
Still, analysts said automakers would likely think twice about expanding production in the country in the coming years. The next morning, President-elect Donald Trump tweeted his thanks to the company.
Having the league's best defense, or one of them, is why they're good. "He's got the film at home, he's got his iPad with him everywhere he goes", said O'Brien of Osweiler.
Some think it doesn't matter, as Peppers' athleticism will play just about anywhere on the field, including as a returner. The Texans are led by the ever-unreliable Brock Osweiler. It became the first game-tying touchdown pass on the last play of regulation in postseason history. Brady was also helped by the seventh-best rushing offense in the league, a major improvement compared to previous year when New England was No. 30 in the NFL.
"Like I said, they're trying to earn the right to be here next week and we're trying to do the same thing". While Brady and his crew will likely be making use of that strategy, the Texans will do a better job of wrapping up receivers sooner than most other clubs.
"I mean, that's part of what makes him who he is".
As for his own career, Wilfork told Texans reporters last week that he will consider retirement after the season, and he reiterated those thoughts Tuesday. Brady and the Patriots do not have to worry about him though, as he's out for the season after back surgery.
Since then, there has been even more adversity for the Texans at the quarterback position with the back-and-forth of Osweiler and Tom Savage due to poor performance, and then injury when Savage suffered a concussion in the regular-season finale.
