Dustin Johnson Becomes First Man To Win All Four WGCs

28 March 2017

Johnson emerged victorious in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play on Sunday, beating rising star Jon Rahm 1-up in the final.

Rahm had hoped to land the ball sufficiently close for a manageable birdie putt, which would have won him the hole and forced a three-hole play-off for overall glory.

Tiger Woods poses with all four World Golf Championship trophies on March 2, 2003 at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.

"I'm probably going to learn a lot from this week".

"But then it's great to win three tournaments in a row and it shows I am playing pretty well". "I just felt like I needed to capitalize when I had the chances and I was able to do that", Haas said.

"I feel like I didn't really give him any holes except for 10..."

The 22-year-old Rahm, who won his first Tour title at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in January, also announced himself as a possible contender at the Masters.

The in-form American also has six wins in total since capturing the U.S. Open past year as the Masters loom. After Rahm hit a driver, Johnson chose to layup and while his second shot didn't end up on the green, Rahm's drive was over the green leaving him a hard chip that came up short.

Justin Trudeau plans to legalize marijuana in Canada
Further to those guidelines, if Canadians want to grow their own marijuana, they are limited to four plants per household. The pending legalization legislation is expected to be introduced the week of April 10, CBC News has reported.

He won the opening hole in six straight matches, and never even heard the referee say, "The match is all square" until Johnson had played 71 holes.

Rahm then drove through the green at the par-four 18th, ending up over the back, from where, perhaps distracted by a loud sudden banging noise just as he started his swing, he misjudged his 80-foot chip shot and could only par, allowing Johnson to escape with the win.

Despite pressure from Rahm, Johnson parred his final two holes, to win the World Matchplay for the first time in his career.

Hideto Tanihara and Ross Fisher are the latest players to be added to the playing list for the next month's Masters.

The American now holds three of the four World Golf Championships, after winning last year's Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio.

As for Johnson his week was among the more impressive for a WGC-Match Play victor in tournament history.

In 2009 the WGC-Champions was introduced in China, meaning all four WGCs were individual events and now DJ has become the first man to win all four.
