Harrison Ford Visit, Fisher Tribute Launch Star Wars Event

15 April 2017

This year's "Star Wars" Celebration got off to an emotional start Thursday in Orlando with a tribute to Carrie Fisher. Billie looked exactly like Princess Leia in this white dress which was custom-made for her by the one and only, Tom Ford.

The tone of the entire event celebrated the fact that generations have grown up with Star Wars, including anecdotes from George Lucas about how these films and stories have inspired a whole new generation of filmmakers who are creating the newest Star Wars productions.

"My mom used to say she never knew where Princess Leia ended and Carrie Fisher began", Lourd said onstage. It wasn't until a few years ago, when I saw Rey in Episode VII: The Force Awakens, that I really understood the full impact of the franchise - and fell in love with its not-so-subtle girl-power message. "For this particular part, it was absolutely ideal ... she wore a dress through the whole thing, but she was the toughest in the group". "She will be remembered forever, even by those who are not yet old enough to say 'May the force be with you, '" she said.

The best part of the panel was that, at the end of the video, legendary composer John Williams made an appearance to play Princess Leia's theme for fans in attendance. For this particular part, it was absolutely flawless because she could hold her own against [the guys].

The Canucks hope to avoid repeating a season-high eight-game losing streak, which would end their season. There isn't much onus put on regular season series, though they can hold a little bit of weight.

"At the same time she was fun to be with. That was why she loved you, because you accepted and embraced all of her". The shift dress was such a cool modern take on the iconic Princess Leia gown which her mother is famous for wearing.

Star Wars: Forces of Destiny is a new eight-part animated series from Disney/Lucasfilm.

Fans held back tears as the panel concluded, first with a video montage of behind-the-scenes footage of Fisher, intercut with clips from various interviews and convention appearances.
