CONFIRMED: The Jets and Bills stink

11 September 2017

Ironically enough, both teams are rebuilding with hopes of a brighter future.

Both teams have traded away veteran players in the past month.

Brick wall against the run: After the first three preseason games, where the starters actually play, the Bills defense held opponents to under three yards-per-carry.

At any rate, this game could easily go one of two ways. The moves to roll with young players - except for 38-year-old starting quarterback Josh McCown - prompted accusations the Jets were preparing to lose games to position themselves to win the No. 1 pick in the 2018 National Football League draft, when a bevy of talented quarterbacks are expected to be available.

Buffalo caught a break if its actually trying to win in learning quarterback Tyrod Taylor cleared concussion protocol and will start Sunday. Keep in mind that Fubo also works on portable devices as well as your personal computer.

However, while the New York Jets are void of talent in a lot of areas, there are still some reasons to think this could be closer than at first thought.

Reportedly, Lankesh's body has been shifted to Victoria hospital for post-mortem and the cremation will take place today. Bengaluru police hope to get a lead from the footage of CCTV camera installed at her residence.

Attacking McCown and the depleted Jets offense is the obvious key for the Bills here.

Buffalo negated the Jets' strength by limiting New York's running back tandem of Matt Forte and Bilal Powell to a combined 38 yards rushing. The 38-year-old McCown played fairly well in the second half of last season with the Cleveland Browns, throwing for 1,100 yards in five games, but NY lost emerging receiver Quincy Enunwa to a season-ending neck injury in the offseason, leaving aging running back Matt Forté and all-purpose threat Bilal Powell as the top playmakers. That leaves Josh McCown at quarterback and a cast of inexperienced and uninspiring wide receivers for him to worth with. Defensive Coordinator Leslie Frazier will coach his first game as a member of the Bills' staff. Heading into his third season, Leonard Williams has been outstanding and has all the makings to become a defensive star for the New York Jets. Those are the three things LeSean McCoy must succeed at every single game this season if the Bills are going to be successful, and he did just that.

Taylor's targets may give him headaches as the Bills dealt their top receiver, Sammy Watkins, to the Rams in the offseason, leaving exiled Eagle wideout Jordan Matthews and rookie Zay Jones as his best options. Steve McLendon is a solid player up the middle, and I'm not buying the decline of Muhammad Wilkerson as a dominant player just yet.

The Jets released their active roster before Sunday's 1 p.m. game against the Buffalo Bills and Hackenberg was on it, Bryce Petty was not.

The same can be said about the Jets receiving corps. Robby Anderson couldn't get open and had a costly drop. His agility, as always, will be something to look out for in this game.
