Vegas shooter booked rooms facing Lollapalooza in Chicago

Chicago police are looking into reports that Stephen Paddock, the gunman in the Las Vegas mass shooting, booked rooms at the Blackstone Hotel during this past summer's Lollapalooza music festival across the street in Grant Park.

TMZ reports Paddock booked one room at the Blackstone Hotel, 636 S. Michigan Av., for August 1 through August 6.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Joseph Lombardo confirmed Paddock rented a room at The Ogden through AirBnB during Life is attractive, headlined by Kiwi songstress Lorde. He booked a second room August 3.

Investigators say they now do not have information which links Paddock to more assailants.

In a statement released by her Los Angeles lawyer, she said she had no warning about his plans and pledged to cooperate with investigators.

Investigators have zeroed in on a weapon-buying binge Paddock went on in the year before the attack.

She said she was devastated by the carnage and would cooperate with authorities as they struggle to get inside Paddock's mind.
