In 2012, United States forward Alex Morgan said that Blatter failed to recognize her during that year's Ballon d'Or, even though she was one of three nominees for the women's Player of the Year.
The American soccer goalkeeper, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and World Cup champion Solo presented the award for Federation Internationale de Football Association women's player of the year that year on stage alongside Blatter to her colleague Abby Wambach after the US won gold at the Olympics in London in 2012.
She revealed: "I had Sepp Blatter grab my ass [turns towards her press assistant, Melinda Travis]".
The assault happened just seconds before she 2 went on stage to present the Federation Internationale de Football Association women's world player of the year award which her teammate Abby Wambach won.
"I had Sepp Blatter grab my ass", she said.
Expanding on the alleged incident on Friday, Solo told the Guardianthat she had to compose herself immediately afterwards to concentrate on making her speech and giving the presentation to Wambach. She had to pull herself together quickly to give the award to Wambach.

Blizzard has offered in-game messaging for years, a attractive cacophony of service sales and players looking for a groups. Alliance defenders however seek the aid of equally capable seafaring kingdom Kul Tiras , home of Jaina Proudmoore.
Solo posted on Instagram last month a message to women participating in the #MeToo hashtag and speaking out against sexual assault.
She said: "Yes, I've seen it throughout my entire career".
"I've seen it not just with coaches, I've seen it with trainers, doctors, and our press officers". Female players are pretty, if you excuse me for saying so, and they already have some different rules to men - such as playing with a lighter ball.
"I'm actually very disappointed with the women who haven't spoken about it in the sports world ..." And I wish more female athletes would speak out about their own experiences.
Blatter, 81, was banned by Federation Internationale de Football Association for six years in 2015 after his involvement in the Federation Internationale de Football Association corruption scandal. With Blatter, she said as it happened seconds before she went on stage, she was unable to confront him, did not have an opportunity to do so when they left the stage and has never seen him since. I didn't get to tell him directly "don't ever touch me".
Blatter also famously argued in 2004 that players could boost the popularity of the women's game by wearing tighter shorts.
