Dozens of women who worked with Minnesota Sen.
"I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don't remember taking this picture", Franken said. "I feel badly that Ms. Menz came away from our interaction feeling disrespected".
Last week, Los Angeles radio anchor Leeann Tweeden accused Franken of forcibly kissing her and groping her during a 2006 USO tour, before Franken was in office.
Franken said in a statement that he did not remember meeting Menz.
Over the weekend, Franken's staff said he has no plans to resign.
Some had hoped Franken might make the Democratic Party's 2020 presidential list. She added, "It was wrapped tightly around my butt cheek".
As for the photograph, while the image of Franken and a sleeping Tweeden was instantly scandalous, CNN published the photo of Franken and Lindsay Menz, and at first blush, it appears unremarkable. "It wasn't around my hip or side", Menz said.
Menz said she was encouraged to come forward after Tweeden came forward last week. He pulled her in and pushed his head against her head. "I don't want to paint my story in the same light as hers", Menz said, saying she believes what happened to Tweeden is much worse. "It was over pretty quick". "It was definitely on my butt". She also provided a photo showing Franken apparently groping her while she slept.
"They agreed it would be best for the legislation and for every survivor of sexual assault for that bill to be sponsored by someone else", she told CNN.
The Senate is not in session this week, and as best as I can tell, none of Franken's colleagues have issued new statements today calling on his ouster. Neither, they said, is registered with a political party.
At the same time, the president has been less forthcoming about Roy Moore, the Alabama Senate Republican candidate who has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.

Instead of being investigated, or fired , Berganaza was named executive editor later that same year. Eventually she and all of the other women involved in the group complaint left DC.
