The boy was believed to have taken a week's supply of medicine, and also stolen his grandmother's auto and driven hundreds of miles north to Pennsylvania, where a surveillance camera had spotted him the previous day.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced late Friday that the 'armed and dangerous' teen was stopped near Buffalo, NY- hours after 53 year old woman, Kristina French's remains were discovered buried in the boy's backyard.

UPDATE, Friday 5:07 p.m.: Police said that a body found in the backyard of a Neptune Beach home is believed to be that of missing grandmother Kristina French.

Ron Lendvay, a director of investigations and homeland security for the sheriff's office, said surveillance footage from a gas station in south-central Pennsylvania picked up the image of the teen and Dodge Dart on Thursday afternoon.

Just as Campbell-Mott could not have imagined French hurting her son, she also could not believe that Logan would harm or intentionally kill his grandmother. "We want to find out what happened to Kristina and we need time for that to happen", the mother said.

"My girls go to school right here at the high school and they're always in the neighborhood walking around so it was sort of chilling", neighbor Laura Taylor-McGhee still trying to understand what happened.

In a statement to "Good Morning America" she said she was "relieved" to have her son safe and requested time for authorities to look into the death of French. Detectives with the Neptune Beach Police Department, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the FDLE and the FBI are investigating the case.

The family may be tight-lipped for now, but it's safe to say we'll be hearing one way or another from them in the near future. The Lip Kit creator said she was thankful for four things - her family, her friends, Kylie Cosmetics and her dogs.

"No matter what, Logan is our child and we love him and are standing by him to help in any way", she said.

When the senior Mott returned from his vacation he found no one home and his house ransacked.

Taylor-McGhee says as more information comes to light, her reaction has changed as well.

Told the mother, 'There just wasn't any indication that there was anything wrong, nothing.

Authorities have yet to say what may have led to the teen's possible involvement, directly or indirectly with his grandmother death and whether there had been prior episodes between grandmother and grandson?

He had not called his mother and come home, but had instead traveled all the way from Neptune Beach to near Buffalo, where federal agents detained him at the Canadian border.
