Rachel Crooks, who accused Trump of forcibly kissing her 12 years ago when she worked as a receptionist at his Trump Tower business headquarters in NY, said lawmakers should "put aside their party affiliations and investigate Mr. Trump's history of sexual misconduct".

"It's part of the president's efforts of name calling and it's not going to silence me, it's not going to silence me. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!" he posted on the social networking website. Several Democratic senators have now demanded that Trump step down, including Hawaii's Mazie Hirono. "You don't care about women, and you will support a man who does something like that".

The women, who first shared their stories before the November 2016 election, were holding a press conference later Monday to call for a congressional investigation into Trump's alleged behavior.

"I will not be silenced on this issue", she said.

A handful of Democratic senators have called for his resignation, almost 60 lawmakers are urging a congressional probe into his behavior and some of the 16 women who have accused Trump of harassment have resurfaced their stories.

Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Ky., said Trump had "proven to be a poison for the presidency, a cancer on the country, and a truly disgraceful human being".

"Solis Doyle tweeted: "'And would do anything for them'.

Meanwhile, wildfires continue to ravage Ventura County : "The blaze has consumed 50,500 acres on its journey to the ocean". If the fire crosses the 405 freeway, it will hit one of the highest priced residential areas of Brentwood, she added.

Likewise, Brian Fallon, Clinton's former campaign spokesman, tweeted: "This is a disgusting tweet".

On Monday, as the three women appeared on NBC's Today show before their news conference, the White House again rejected the allegations.

Trump gave $4,800 to Gillibrand's campaign in September 2010, when he also contributed $10,000 to the Democratic Committee of New York State.

His daughter Ivanka Trump, donated $2,000 to Gillibrand in 2014.

More than a dozen women came forward during last year's campaign, many in the wake of the "Access Hollywood" tape in which Trump is heard bragging about committing sexual assault, to say that the celebrity businessman had harassed them. Before launching his presidential campaign, Trump frequently bestowed donations on politicians of both parties.

"It was heartbreaking a year ago".

Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh pointed out how Gillibrand obtained her Senate seat, which was left open when Hillary Clinton became secretary of state under Barack Obama. "I have a new dream now, that this man will be held accountable for his actions and that future generations of women can fulfill their dreams without worry of anyone treating them like they are less than because they're a woman".
