Iran's foreign minister said on Sunday the shooting down of an Israeli jet after it bombed an Iranian site in Syria had shattered Israel's "so-called invincibility", reacting to a critical speech delivered earlier by Israel's premier.
Netanyahu produced what he alleged to be a piece of the Iranian drone shot down in Israel airspace last week in an episode that sparked worldwide concern as the prospect of war breaking out between Israel and Iranian forces in Syria and its proxy, Hezbollah, in Lebanon, ballooned.
In a comment directed at Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who he described as a "smooth-talking mouthpiece", Mr Netanyahu held the piece aloft and said: "Mr Zarif, do you recognise this? You should, it's yours".
"You were the audience for a cartoonish circus just this morning, which does not even deserve the dignity of a response", Zarif told delegates.
The Iranian warning comes days after Israel warships destroyed Tehran-supplied anti-aircraft batteries in Syria used in an unprovoked attack against the Israeli Air Force.
During that raid, an Israeli F-16 fighter jet was shot down.
Netanyahu said Zarif "lies with eloquence" and warned the conference participants saying that Zarif will "brazenly deny Iran's nefarious involvement in Syria". "The sanctions relief that the deal provided has not moderated Iran".
Such moves by the USA and Israel indicate their plummeting position and reveals that their conditions in the face of Iran have become more complicated, General Salami explained.
New information revealed by the Israel Securities Authorities (ISA) led to the arrest of the officials, which include two close associates of Netanyahu - but a gag order in place has not allowed for further details to be released. "We need to change the current situation with or without changes to the agreement itself".
Zarif also reiterated that his country would not be the first renounce the landmark nuclear deal between between Iran and six world powers, including the United States, even if the US does.
When asked about the future of the Iranian nuclear deal, he said that the main aim must be to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear arsenal and that if this were possible under the agreement, he was not opposed to it per se. Iran is the one that is attacking us. "The world has to extract a price from Iran for its aggressive behavior", Al Jubeir said. "If Iran's interests are not secured, we will respond seriously", he said.
