Nepal move three-position up, Germany retain top spot in Federation Internationale de Football Association ranking

The Super Eagles have moved up to 47th in the world and sixth in Africa in the rankings released yesterday by world football governing body, FIFA, for the month of April.

Nigeria have 635 points, a point below Egypt, who are 46th in the world.

In Africa, the Super Eagles are now in the sixth position. Senegal are second on the continent but they dropped a spot to 28th in the world while DR Congo climbed a spot to 38th.

According to the ranking which is released after global games, Harambee Stars now sit at position 113 with 289 points on the log after dropping all the way from 105 in the past ranking.

Nigeria's group opponents, Argentina, Croatia and Iceland were ranked 5th, 18th and 22nd respectively.

The team's last win was a 5-1 rout of Azerbaijan on October 8, a result that completed a clean sweep of 10 victories from all of their 10 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
