As anticipated, the Los Angeles Dodgers are adding their outfielder Manny Ramirez to the 15-day disabled list Saturday due to right hamstring strain.  Ramirez thought the strain was improving but Joe Torre, the Dodgers manager, wants to make sure that Ramirez is improving and the appropriate precautions are taken to ensure a quick and proper recovery.

Ramirez was placed on the disabled list back on April 23 for the very first time and was batting a .415 at the time.  He returned to the Dodgers lineup on May 8 but was nowhere near his recent playing aptitude.  However, just before his injury, his overall game was starting to improve. Germany (pictured in a huddle) are well on their way to winning a fourth championship title at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.  Their last title was 20 years ago and so far, they are right on track to make it to the finals and win the title again.

Germany defeated Argentina Saturday morning with a final score of 4-0.  Both teams played well with attacks coming from every which way, but Argentina was unable to even score on Germany.  While Argentina served a good match, although they definitely could have upped their skill and playing ability particularly in terms of defense, it just wasn’t good enough to sustain Germany’s strong defense and offense. Argentina will find themselves up against Germany in Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium on July 3.  Many believe that Argentina is out to get some type of revenge on Germany from the World Cup back in 2006.  If you don’t remember or you didn’t catch the buzz back then, Germany and Argentina both advanced to the quarter finals and went head-to-head with each other in the quarter final soccer match.  Needless to say, Germany overtook Argentina to advance to the semi finals.
