Denver Broncos sign Kyle Orton to one-year contract extension
Added August 20th, 2010 by Ryan

It has been an interesting year for the Denver Broncos coming into this preseason as they have continued to make changes to their roster and deal with some devastating injuries in their backfield and on the defensive side of the football.

Despite the Broncos chances of making it into the playoffs this season being slim to say the least, Josh McDaniels’ squad has been optimistic as they seem confident that they will be able to compete with the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders in the AFC West division. This should be an exciting NFL football betting season for sure. Continue Reading…

Denver Broncos News: Tim Tebow misses second practice with bruised ribs,
Added August 19th, 2010 by Scott

The Denver Broncos made a bold move during the offseason by selecting arguably one of the best college football players of all-time in quarterback Tim Tebow in the 2010 NFL Draft (25th overall pick). Even though he was able to lead the Florida Gators to two BCS championships during his time in college, Tebow has been considered a player that wouldn’t be able to transcend his game on the NFL level as he wasn’t more of a threat with his feet rather than his arm. Percy Harvin taken to the hospital after collapsing in practice
Added August 19th, 2010 by Ryan

The Minnesota Vikings received some great news this past Wednesday when they learned that their superstar quarterback Brett Favre would be back for one more season under center. This was the one thing the NFL franchise had been waiting for all offseason long, but just a day later they got some bad news as reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Percy Harvin collapsed during practice and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance as a result. Denver Broncos, Where Art Tim Tebow – misses practice Thursday?
Added August 19th, 2010 by Stacy

Rookie quarterback Tim Tebow misses yet another practice with the Denver Broncos.  This is the second consecutive practice that Tebow has missed since sustaining an injury to his ribs in Sunday’s exhibition game against the Cincinnati Bengals.  While the reason he hasn’t been participating in practices and may not play in the home opener this weekend, the Denver Broncos are not releasing any type of official information relevant to Tebow’s issue; however, it’s safe for us all to assume it’s from the hit in Sunday’s exhibition game. Injuries Keep Coming for the Washington Nationals and Boston Red Sox with Josh Willingham and Jacoby Ellsbury Likely Out for the Rest of the Season
Added August 19th, 2010 by Stacy

Boston Red Sox has been having one thing after another and they just keep getting hit with bad news.  It’s been determined that Jacoby Ellsbury (pictured) has a fractured rib and he is likely out for the rest of this 2010 MLB season.  While I say it’s bad news for the Red Sox, Ellsbury hasn’t exactly been on top of his game this season anyhow so it may not be such a loss cause.  Earlier this year, he collided with a teammate (Beltre), fractured five ribs at the time, and is now suffering from a fractured rib again.  He can’t catch a break this year – very disappointing since he led the Major League with a total of 70 stolen bases in the 2009 MLB season. Over the past couple of years, the Denver Nuggets have been one of the best teams in the Western Conference with arguably one of the most dominant scorers in the league in Carmelo Anthony.

Even though last season they showed signs of promise and could have ended up being a serious force to be reckoned with in the playoffs, the Nuggets began to fall apart late in the season and ultimately were knocked out in the first round by the Utah Jazz. Continue Reading…

Minnesota Vikings News: Brett Favre is back and ready to go for it this season!
Added August 18th, 2010 by Ryan

The wait is over as the three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre has decided to return to the Minnesota Vikings for one more season and one more shot at winning a second Super Bowl title.

There has been a lot of speculation during NFL offseason on whether or not Brett Favre’s surgically injured ankle could hold up for another long NFL regular season and well into the playoffs, but apparently the 20-year veteran believes that his ankle will stand the test of time as he has agreed to be the Vikings main man under center once again. We reported yesterday that there was a lot of chatter in some of the online sportsbooks forums. Continue Reading…

Online Sportsbook news: Brett Favre flies to Minnesota after meeting with teammates
Added August 17th, 2010 by Scott

The Brett Favre fiasco continues as the 20-year veteran quarterback has still yet to make up his mind about returning to the Minnesota Vikings this season, but even though he hasn’t officially made it clear that he will return or chose to retire, the three-time NFL MVP was visited by three of his closest teammates recently and the outcome has been favorable to say the least for the Vikings.

We are not sure how the online sportsbooks will react if it ends up that Favre returns to the team. It will be pretty interesting to watch unfold. Continue Reading…

The San Francisco 49ers will head into the 2010-2011 NFL regular season with high hopes of getting back to the playoffs for the first time since 2002 and they may have drastically improved their chances of doing just that after signing veteran running back Brian Westbrook to a one-year deal worth about $1.25 million in guaranteed money.

Coming into the NFL offseason, the seven-year veteran running back was a free agent for the first time in his career after playing for the Philadelphia Eagles alongside perennial Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb. Despite suffering multiple concussions last season that threatened to end his career, Westbrook has decided to comeback for at least one season with the San Francisco 49ers. Continue Reading…
