NFL Week 8: Tennessee Titans vs San Diego Chargers odds and predictions
Added October 28th, 2010 by James

Tennessee Titans vs San Diego Chargers Sun. Oct. 31st 1pm EST

Last season the Tennessee Titans got off to a really rough start as they lost their first six games of the season and looked like arguably the worst team in the NFL, but after head coach Jeff Fisher gave quarterback Vince Young another shot under center, the team was rejuvenated and got right back on track by winning eight of the next ten games of the season.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to get them back into playoff contention in the AFC Conference, but this season they have gotten off to an impressive start to the season by winning five of their first seven games of the year and leading the way in the AFC South division. This is a great matchup for this weeks NFL football betting. Continue Reading…

The Giants and Tim Lincecum sure showed that they had what it takes to win a World Series last night.  It’s only the first game, but still.  As for Cliff Lee, I do believe that his eight days of rest was a little too much.  He just wasn’t as promising as he had been previously in the postseason.  Final score for Game 1 was 11-7 in favor of the Giants.

Tonight is Game 2 – still in San Francisco.  The Giants will look to Matt Cain.  This right-handed pitcher hasn’t allowed a single run over 13 2/3 innings during the postseason, which includes seven scoreless innings with two hits in Game 3 of the NLCS, which was the last time he had pitched – almost 10 days ago. Tonight is Game 1 of the 2010 World Series, or also known as the Fall Classic.  Game 1 kicks off at 7:57 p.m. ET at the San Francisco Giants home stadium, AT&T Park, with the visiting Texas Rangers.  Both teams declared their LCS victory in Game 6 when the Giants won over the Philadelphia Phillies and the Rangers were able to destroy the New York Yankees.

The Rangers will obviously hand over the ball to ace starting pitcher Cliff Lee, who was ready to start Game 7 in the ALCS had it been necessary.  Since it was not, he is fully rested, ready and pumped to begin tonight’s game against the Giants.  For the postseason, Lee is 3-0 with a 0.75 earned run average.   Continue Reading…

NFL Week 8: Carolina Panthers vs St. Louis Rams Sportsbook odds and predictions
Added October 26th, 2010 by Ryan

Carolina Panthers vs St. Louis Rams Sun. Oct. 31st 1pm EST

The Carolina Panthers are arguably one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, but they are coming off their first win of the year against the San Francisco 49ers and will look to continue this forward progress coming into Week 8 when they take on number one overall pick Sam Bradford and the up and coming St. Louis Rams.

Even though the Rams could still be on the outside looking in on the playoffs this season, they have made some drastic improvements to their squad this season and look like they could be the team to beat in the NFC West division in the near future, but in order to keep this good thing going in St. Louis, rookie quarterback Sam Bradford will have to lead his team to victory in Week 8 over a resurgent Carolina Panthers squad. Last week was a crazy week of NFL football betting with all those high scores, but this game should be more the norm. Continue Reading…

NFL Week 8: Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs Sportsbook odds and predictions
Added October 26th, 2010 by Ryan

Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs Sun. Oct. 31st 1pm EST

Coming into this NFL regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs were considered to be one of the most improved teams in the league, especially on the defensive side of the football, but no one anticipated Matt Cassel and company starting the season with a 4-2 record while leading the way in the AFC West division.

Even though the AFC West division could look much different at season’s end with the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and the defending division champion San Diego Chargers turning their season’s around, the Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat and could very well get their fifth win of the season in Week 8 against the winless Buffalo Bills. New blood it is for the 2010 MLB World Series.  The Texas Rangers beat the New York Yankees (which is something that no one had ever expected) in the best of seven games but only need six games to determine their skill.

Same goes for the San Francisco Giants – they only needed six out of the seven games to show the Philadelphia Phillies they had what it took to throw them to the curb and gain their own ticket to the World Series.

While this is the first time in eight years that the Giants will be in the 2010 Fall Classic, it is the absolute first time the Rangers will be World Series bound in franchise history.  The Giants haven’t actually won the title since 1954. Continue Reading…

NFL Week 7: San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers Sportsbook odds and predictions
Added October 23rd, 2010 by Scott

San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers Sun. Oct. 24th 1pm EST

Coming into this NFL regular season, the San Francisco 49ers were considered to be the team to beat in the NFC West division as they seemed to finally have all the right pieces of the puzzle in place to contend for the division title and make a run in the playoffs.

With head coach Mike Singletary calling the shots on the sidelines and quarterback Alex Smith finally starting to turn things around after many disappointing years, the 49ers were a popular pick to make some things happen in the NFC Conference this season, but unfortunately they have really struggled to start the season as they are coming off their first win of the year against the cross town rival Oakland Raiders. But using the raiders in any scenario involving NFL football betting is a bad idea. Continue Reading…

Game 6 of the 2010 NLCS gets underway tonight under the stars in Philadelphia.  The Phillies will look to take this Championship Series to Game 7 with a win while the San Francisco Giants will look to put an end to this Championship Series with their own victory.  If the Giants have kept up with the Texas Rangers they would know that they were able to accomplish a win in Game 6 against the New York Yankees when they had a 3-2 lead, just as the Giants do.

Tonight’s game will – plain and simple – be a rematch of the NLCS Game 2.  The Phillies will look to Roy Oswalt to keep this series going.  Continue Reading…

NFL Week 7: Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers odds and predictions
Added October 23rd, 2010 by Scott

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers Mon. Oct. 25th 8:30pm EST

Last season the Minnesota Vikings were arguably one of the best teams in the NFC Conference and despite everyone doubting them all season long as no one believed that Brett Favre had anything left in the tank, the three-time NFL MVP quarterback was able to lead them all the way to NFC Championship while having arguably the best season of his Hall of Fame caliber career in the NFL. We are excited about this one and looking forward to some great NFL football betting.

Coming into this NFL regular season, the Vikings were hoping for more of the same out of the Silver Fox, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case as they have struggled to get their offense going without Pro Bowl wide receiver Sidney Rice (hip) all season long.

Despite struggling thus far in the NFL regular season and failing to live up to expectations, the Minnesota Vikings will come into Week 7’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field with some much needed confidence as they were able to get their second win of the season against the Dallas Cowboys. NFL Week 7: Philadelphia Eagles vs Tennessee Titans Sportsbook odds and predictions
Added October 23rd, 2010 by Ryan

Philadelphia Eagles vs Tennessee Titans Sun. Oct. 24th 1pm EST

The Philadelphia Eagles came into this NFL regular season with high hopes of taking their franchise in a different direction after they traded six-time Pro Bowl quarterback and face of the franchise in Donovan McNabb to the division rival Washington Redskins.

With McNabb headed to the nation’s capital, the Redskins turned to backup quarterback Kevin Kolb to shoulder the load this season under center and even though he went down with a concussion in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, he returned a few weeks later after Michael Vick went down with torn rib cartilage.
