The Dallas Cowboys are arguably one of the most storied franchises in the NFL today and even though they haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1996, America’s Team always have a lot of pressure on them to win another title every single season.

Last season was somewhat of a do or die situation for the Dallas Cowboys as heads were almost certainly going to roll if the team was unable to make the playoffs and win at least one game in the postseason. Fortunately, they were able to win the NFC East title, cruise into the playoffs and beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the first round, but were ultimately knocked out by the Minnesota Vikings in the next round. The 2010 NBA offseason is almost over in terms of big-name players signing new contracts and officially taking themselves off the free agent market, but the majority of the league already scrambling to figure out a way to compete against the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers and the revamped Miami Heat, next year’s offseason might be just as significant as another big three could potentially be on the horizon.

This summer the New York Knicks did everything within their power to try and bring in some big-name talent like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and or Chris Bosh. Obviously, they failed as all three of these superstars ended up signing with the Miami Heat and creating the league’s newest superpower, but they were able to get their hands on one of the best big men in the game in the form of Amare Stoudemire. Chris Johnson agrees to deal for 2010 with the Tennessee Titans

Last season the Tennessee Titans had a roster coaster ride of a season as they started the year with six straight losses and seemed to be headed to a very disappointing season. Fortunately, the Titans played brilliantly in the second half of the season as they were able to win eight of the next ten games.

Needless to say, this was one hell of a turn around for a team that seemed destined to fail last season, but after Titans head coach Jeff Fisher decided to bench veteran quarterback Kerry Collins and start Vince Young in his place, this turned out the be turning point in the season for Tennessee. With all eyes on Dwyane Wade, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh and LeBron James, the other big-name free agents have flown somewhat under the radar and gone unnoticed.

The one player that was thought to be a perfect complimentary player to LeBron or D-Wade next season was the Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer. Even though Stoudemire and Bosh were by far the more desired All-Star forwards in this free agent market, Boozer could have been the deciding factor for some of the big-name players to make the move to a different team. The 2010 World Cup in South Africa has been entertaining to say the least as we have seen epic battles between some of the best international teams the world has to offer, but like every tournament, there has to be a winner and after today there are only three teams left in the running for the World Cup trophy.

USA and England advance to knockout round of World Cup

Coming into the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the United States and England had a legitimate chances to advance to the second round or what is also known as knockout stage. Not only were the Americans and the English favored to come out of Group C, but the first game of this group game between these two teams was epic and set of the drama of games to follow.

Even though both the United States and England could only draw in their first two games, they were able to get one goal victories on Wednesday. Despite not many people giving Algeria and Slovenia much chance of advancing to the next round out of Group C, both of these teams gave the Americans and English all they could handle in the group stage. Pro football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Indicted by New York grand jury

Today in New York, Pro football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor has been indicted by a grand jury on the May 6th charges of rape, criminal sexual act and sexual abuse.

On May 6th, 2010, Lawrence Taylor was arrested on charges of paying a 16 year old girl to have sex with him. He allegedly paid the young girl $300, which Taylor denies.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe says the 16-year-old told investigators that she had been verbally threatened and physically assaulted. She said she was brought to the hotel room by a pimp later arrested by New York City police.
