The quarter finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup will kick off starting to tomorrow, July 2, 2010 and go into July 3.  There will be two matches each day with one team from each match advancing to the semi finals of the World Cup this year.

Argentina will find themselves up against Germany in Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium on July 3.  Many believe that Argentina is out to get some type of revenge on Germany from the World Cup back in 2006.  If you don’t remember or you didn’t catch the buzz back then, Germany and Argentina both advanced to the quarter finals and went head-to-head with each other in the quarter final soccer match.  Needless to say, Germany overtook Argentina to advance to the semi finals.

Therefore, Argentina is ready to show Germany that they have what it takes this time to claim a win and advance to the semi finals and send Germany packing their bags.  Then again, Germany wants to claim another victory and beat Argentina sending them home.

The 1986 World Cup was claimed by Argentina when they beat Germany 3-2 then in the next World Cup in 1990, Germany defeated Argentina for the championship title 1-0.

Who has the better chance to win the quarter final soccer match?  Well, Argentina has been able to claim victories in all four of their matches.  They beat out Nigeria 1-0, South Korea 4-1, Greece 2-0, and Mexico 3-1.  They are one of the best of the final eight teams in the 2010 World Cup and have very good form, athleticism, and skill.  However, Germany has some impressive skill themselves and have shown their extreme aptitude in playing as they have only lost one match.

Whichever team wins this quarterfinal will advance to the semi finals where they will meet and go head-to-head with the winner of the Spain vs. Paraguay soccer match.

Who is your money on – Germany or Argentina?
