Florida State Seminoles (10) vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2) Sun. March 20, 2011 9:40 p.m. EST

There is no question that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2) are arguably one of the best college basketball teams in the country right now and have a legitimate shot of going the distance in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. Even though they were dubbed the second seed in the Southwest Region, Notre Dame (2) started zero like everyone else did at the beginning of the tournament and will have to bring their A game from here on out in order to get through the best of the best during March Madness.

In the first matchup of the 2011 NCAA tournament, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2) made easy work of the Akron Zips with a 13 point win. Even though this may been nothing more than an easy game for the Fighting Irish, they will have their work cut out for them in the third round against the Florida State Seminoles (10).

With a win over the Texas A&M Aggies in the second round, the Florida State Seminoles (10) were able to pull off the slight upset over a higher seed, but they will be facing their toughest challenge of the season going up against very good Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2) squad.

As of right now, the Fighting Irish have been given the edge in this matchup and for good reason as they are by far the better basketball team at this point. Even though I believe this game should be a blowout as the Seminoles have no chance of competing with a team like the Fighting Irish, Notre Dame (2) has -5 point spread coming into this game.

This spread may change before game time, but I would jump on this right now as this is an easy win at -5 in favor of Notre Dame (2).
