The Tennessee Titans have been one of the better teams in the AFC conference for quite some time now as they always seem to have an edge on the sidelines with arguably one of the best head coaches in the game in Jeff Fisher.

Not only has Jeff Fisher been around seemingly forever in Tennessee, but he has one Super Bowl appearance, countless playoff games under his belt and is the longest tenured head coach in the NFL today.

Well, unfortunately that came to an end in 2011 has reportedly the Tennessee Titans and head coach Jeff Fisher have agreed to part ways. Unlike other coaches in the league during the off-season, it seems that the Titans had enough are stacked for their former head coach cannot fire him, but to agree to let him resign.

Obviously, Jeff Fisher will be in extremely hot commodity around the NFL, but with every NFL team having already hired a new head coach or keeping their current head coach, this timing may have been perfect for Fisher to take a year off of football.

In the meantime, I guarantee a lot of teams around the league are kicking themselves for hiring new head coaches so quickly in the off-season. Not only is Jeff Fisher a great head coach, but he is considered amongst the best all time at home the shots from the sidelines.

It may not happen before next season, but I guarantee Jeff Fisher will land somewhere else and have a huge payday coming his way as teams will be done get their hands on this hot commodity.

One thing that might happen next season, if next season even happens, is that some of the struggling teams in the NFL might be giving a short leash to their head coaches with Jeff Fisher being available.
