New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers Sun. Nov. 14th 2010 8:20pm EST
No one was really certain what kind of team the New England Patriots would be this season as they have to contend with the New York Jets in the AFC East division and had a questionable defense filled with unproven young players, but so far they have played much better than anticipated with a 6-3 record coming into Week 10’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers were in a similar boat coming into this season, Mike Tomlin’s squad has also exceeded expectations up to this point in the NFL regular season and will face arguably their toughest opponent in Tom Brady’s New England Patriots this week at Heinz Field.
As of right now, the Pittsburgh Steelers are favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -5 point spread. That is a bit too high in my opinion as the New England Patriots are the real deal and despite losing to the lowly Cleveland Browns last week, they will give Big Ben and company a run for their money.
This game will almost certainly be one of the best games of the week and possibly the season as both these teams are fighting for their division titles and competing with some of the best teams in the league in the New York Jets (AFC East) and the Baltimore Ravens (AFC North).
Even though the edge has been given to the Pittsburgh Steelers, I believe the New England Patriots will pull off the upset here as they are arguably the better team in my opinion. The Steelers defense will be tough for Tom Brady and company to handle, but they will be up to the task and should come out with their seventh win of the season.

We hear what your saying Steeler Chick. We meant upset in terms of bookmaker odds. The Pats are a solid team for sure and can beat anyone on any given sunday. But either way, they are 5 point underdogs at most sportsbooks.
This is going to be a good matchup. Brady has been playing pretty well, but so have the Steelers. We should be able to pull this one out even with the tough Steeler D.
Even tho I am a life-long Steeler fan, A Patriots win would not be an “upset” on Sunday night. The Patriots are a tough team for the Steelers at home or away. Stupid move on their part letting Moss go, but on the other hand, my beloved Steelers’ pass rush doesn’t equal their ability to stop the run. With the offensive line ailing, we might need a Troy Polamalu interception or two to keep the ball on our side, and one of those non-finable sacks by James Harrison. I’m calling it a close one, but Patriots win 27-24… unless the oline protects Ben better than I’m guessing. One thing is for certain: Never bet against the Steelers. You just increase our odds of winning.
