Minnesota Vikings @ Washington Redskins Sun. Nov. 28th 2010 1pm EST
Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings thought they might be able to turn their season around last week with a win over the division rival Green Bay Packers, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case as Aaron Rodgers and company just dominated their division rivals with a 31-3 blowout.
Once the final whistle blew in Week 11, the fate of head coach Brad Childress was sealed as the controversial and universally disliked coach was fired. Even though the Vikings said they weren’t going to make a decision about their head coach until the end of the season, they had to make a move as the loss to the Packers was devastating to say the least.
Needless to say, the Minnesota Vikings are pretty happy about their decision and so is three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre as the offense will almost certainly start to flow the way it should.
With that being said, we may see a totally different Vikings team this weekend as they will have the handcuffs off and Pro Bowl wide receiver Sidney Rice healthy and ready to put up some numbers.
As of right now, Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins are favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -1 point spread. This is a perfect indication of just how close this game will be and the fact that the Minnesota Vikings could be a completely different football team without Childress calling the shots on the sidelines.
Personally, I think the Vikings will only get better from here on out, they may be out of playoff contention right now, but they might put up some big numbers in Week 12 and come out with their fourth win of the season.
