Dallas Cowboys @ Indianapolis Colts Sun. Dec. 5th 2010 4:15pm EST
The Indianapolis Colts came into this NFL regular season as the odds on favorites to win the Super Bowl and no one could argue with that fact as they could have easily won it all last season if it weren’t for the surprise onside kick to start the second half in the big game against the even Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, but even though they were thought to dominate the AFC Conference once again this season, they haven’t lived up to expectations thus far as they will come into Week 13 against the Dallas Cowboys with a disappointing 6-5 record.
As for the Dallas Cowboys, they have also failed to live up to expectations this season as they will come into this matchup with a very disappointing 3-8 record, but even though they lost to the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving Day recently, they have definitely started to turn the corner as they have gotten their potent offense back on track with veteran quarterback Jon Kitna under center.
So even though on paper this game looks like it should be a blowout with four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning and company just cruising to victory, that won’t be the case in my opinion and the Dallas Cowboys are more than capable of giving them a run for their money.
As of right now, the Indianapolis Colts have been dubbed the favorites to come out on top in this matchup with a -5 point spread, but I believe we will see a big upset here as the Dallas Cowboys are a team with something to prove, especially since they should have beaten the defending champs last week before a costly fumble in the fourth quarter.
