Kansas City Chiefs @ St. Louis Rams Sun. Dec. 19th 2010 1pm EST
The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their worst loss of the season to the division rival San Diego Chargers where they were shutout 31-0, but they will have an opportunity to get back on track in Week 15 as they will take on another division leader in rookie Sam Bradford’s St. Louis Rams.
Even though the Kansas City Chiefs are still feeling the painful sting of getting destroyed by Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers last week, the AFC West’s 1st place team should have their starting quarterback Matt Cassel back under center this Sunday when they head to St. Louis to take on a surprisingly good Rams squad.
Despite winning just one game all of last season and basically expecting more of the same this season, the Rams have played much better than anticipated this year as number one overall pick quarterback Sam Bradford has quickly turned into the answer for this struggling NFL franchise. Not only have the Rams won six games this season and been able to reach the top of the NFC West division, but they look like they have a legitimate shot of winning the division title and finally making it back into the playoffs.
Unfortunately, this week they will have the Kansas City Chiefs standing in their way and if Matt Cassel is healthy and ready to go, the St. Louis Rams will struggle to contain this offense and score points on this lockdown defense.
In my opinion, this game will be much closer than anticipated as the St. Louis Rams should give the Kansas City Chiefs a run for their money, but in the end I see Matt Cassel and company coming out on top.
