New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills Sun. Dec. 26th 2010 1pm EST
There is no question up to this point in the NFL regular season that the New England Patriots are without a doubt the best team in the league, but even though they already clinched a playoff spot, they still have to come out on top in the AFC East division and will need to get wins over the next two weeks.
Fortunately, the New England Patriots schedule is fairly easy over the next two weeks as they will face the division rival Miami Dolphins in the last game of the regular season and the lowly Buffalo Bills this weekend. Not sure how I would rate this NFL football betting matchup, but with 8 points, we are taking the Patriots.
Even though the Bills have shown signs of promise this season with a vastly improved offense led by up and coming quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, they will stand no chance against the Patriots that would come out with blowout win even if they were playing with their second team.
The only thing that might concern the Patriots coming into this matchup is the health of NFL MVP candidate quarterback Tom Brady. Recently Brady missed practice due to the flu and with his team already having clinched a playoff spot, head coach Bill Belichick might consider sitting his superstar QB.
Much like other future Hall of Fame quarterbacks Brett Favre and Peyton Manning, nothing will keep Tom Brady down for long and I believe he will be ready to go this weekend which doesn’t bode well for the Buffalo Bills.
As of right now, the New England Patriots are big favorites to come out on top in this AFC East division showdown with a -8 point spread. Even though that is a somewhat large point spread, I believe the Patriots should easily cover and win their 13th game of the season.
