Tennessee Titans @ Kansas City Chiefs Sun. Dec. 26th 2010 1pm EST
The Tennessee Titans may have looked like a possible Super Bowl title contender earlier in the NFL regular season, but ever since quarterback Vince Young started to break down, the team just hasn’t been able to continue to play at a high level and have dropped from first place in the AFC South division all the way down to last place.
With their playoff hopes shattered coming into Week 16, the Titans don’t have anything to play for at this point besides pride and they will take that pride into Kansas City in an attempt to ruin the Chiefs chances of winning the AFC West division title.
With the San Diego Chargers sitting just behind them in second place within the division and the Oakland Raiders still not out of contention for the division title just yet, the Kansas City Chiefs are basically in a must win situation for the next two weeks and will have to get the best of the Tennessee Titans this week and the Oakland Raiders in Week 17.
With that being said, Matt Cassel and company will look to jump on Jeff Fisher’s struggling franchise early and often. If they can get out to a commanding lead early in this matchup and contain superstar running back Chris Johnson, the Chiefs have a great chance of pulling off the blowout in Week 16.
As of right now, the Kansas City Chiefs are favored to beat the Tennessee Titans with a -5 point spread. Even though I believe the Titans are capable of making this a close game, the Chiefs should easily come out with yet another win and get one step closer to winning the AFC West division title.
