San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons Sun. Oct. 3^rd 1pm EST

The San Francisco 49ers came into this NFL regular season with high hopes of finally turning their storied NFL franchise around as them seemed to have the right pieces of the puzzle on both sides of the football to dominate the NFC West division and cruise into the playoffs, but after a 0-3 start to season many people are starting to question whether or not this team can contend with the best of the best in the NFC Conference.

There is no question that San Francisco has had a tough schedule right out of the gate, but they were expected to get at least one win in the past three weeks, especially over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.

The Atlanta Falcons on the other hand have completely turned around their season after losing to the Ben Roethlisberger-less Pittsburgh Steelers (15-9) in Week 1 and beating both Arizona Cardinals (41-7) and the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints (27-24) in consecutive weeks.

The win over the Cardinals in Week 2 was impressive as Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons offense was able to get back on track with 41 points to their credit, but it was last week’s win over the defending champs that really got this team going as it was the first time since 2002 that the Falcons had beaten the Saints and with the win they are the new first place team in the NFC South division.

As for Week 4’s matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons should continue their hot streak as I fully expect them to cruise to their third victory of the season.
