Along with the defense getting all the headlines for a Super Bowl XLV, the offense of the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers might surprise some people as there are some extremely talented players at the quarterback position for both teams.
Even though Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has already won two Super Bowl titles and played in the big game just two years ago, Aaron Rodgers is amongst the best quarterbacks in the league right now and is playing at an extremely high level coming into this Super Bowl XLV matchup.
Obviously, we’ve big Ben’s experience in these games and in the playoffs in general, he will most likely have the edge coming into this Super Bowl, but Rodgers could be on the verge of getting to the next level with a win on the NFL’s biggest stage.
In the NFC championship game, Aaron Rodgers didn’t really have the kind of performance that people were anticipating as rushed for his only touchdown and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time in the playoffs. Along with being unable to throw a passing touchdown, Rodgers hurt his throwing shoulder on his rushing touchdown and might be a bit banged up heading into the Super Bowl.
In my opinion, even though Big Ben has two Super Bowl rings already, Aaron Rodgers is the better quarterback when looking at an all around skill set. He has the arm to throw downfield, the accuracy to a be a threat when throwing the football on every single down and the ability to hurt opposing defenses with his quick feet.
This should be an interesting and very entertaining football game from start to finish, but in the end I believe the Green Bay Packers will come out on top and get back to dominant status in the NFL.
