The defense of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers is getting a lot of press leading up to so Super Bowl XLV and that it should as they are two of the best defenses in the NFL today. Despite this being the fact, I believe the offense of these two teams is gone overlooked which could be costly as Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense could be the difference in the game.

Coming into this big game in Arlington, Texas, the spread will get most of the attention in terms of sports betting as the Packers are favored with a -2.5 point spread. The over under will also get a lot of attention as it is a pretty good bet that these two teams will combine for more than 44.5 points.

The one thing that I find interesting to bet on is the Super Bowl MVP. During the history of the Super Bowl, 23 quarterbacks have been named the Super Bowl MVP and not a single position on the football field is even come close to.

Obviously, this is probably no surprise to most people as the quarterback position is the face of the franchise and the one player that people root for more than anybody. With that being said, I believe that taking either Aaron Rodgers or Ben Roethlisberger would be a solid bet for Super Bowl Sunday as it is doubtful that other players on the field like Clay Matthews, Troy Polamalu or Greg Jennings will beat out these two superstars.

Last season was a perfect example of this as there were two big-name quarterbacks in the Super Bowl that would almost certainly come out with the Super Bowl MVP award. With Peyton Manning leading the way for the Indianapolis Colts and Drew Brees being the hero for the New Orleans Saints, there is no question that one of these guys can win the award and Brees did just that.

So if you are planning on betting on who win the Super Bowl MVP award, I would personally take Aaron Rodgers as he is the favorite and will have the best chances of winning the award.
