PGA Tour – 1st Round Of BMW Championship Delayed

Due to the expected bad weather, the first round of the BMW Championship will start an hour later than scheduled. The opening tee time is set at 10:26 ET.
Just south of Chicago’s downtown, Olympia Fields experienced a chilly front early on Thursday morning. The front delivered a brief line of thunderstorms and rain showers, which caused the delay.
The rest of the day will be breezy with potential wind gusts of around 25 mph once this line of weather passes through between 8 a.m. and noon.
Over the centre of the nation, a sizable and powerful area of high pressure will develop for the rest of the week.
As a result, there will be less probability of precipitation over the Chicago area and temperatures will rise towards 90 degrees by Sunday.
The FedExCup Playoffs’ second stop is the BMW Championship. The current champion, Patrick Cantlay, is aiming to win his third BMW championship in the past three years. The leader in the rankings is Jon Rahm, but Scottie Scheffler is closing in.
The third-place finisher, Rory McIlroy, will try to win a fourth FedExCup championship. After this week, the top 30 will be eligible to compete in the TOUR Championship at East Lake, Atlanta.
