After putting on the fiasco known as the “Decision” before last season, LeBron James was a God in Cleveland and thought of the hometown boy that finally made it. Winning two NBA MVP awards and leading the once lowly Cavaliers all the way to the NBA Finals, King James was a success in Cleveland and single handedly turned the Cavs into one of the best all-around teams in the NBA.

Unfortunately, the LeBron James era in Cleveland came to an end after the superstar who is widely considered to be the best player in the NBA decided to take his talents to South Beach. Playing alongside perennial All-Star Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat seemed to be in his plans all along and that “Decision” made fans in Cleveland absolutely furious.

The aftermath of the “Decision” resulted in LeBron James jerseys being burnt and King James becoming public enemy number one in his home state of Ohio. No player in the history of sports has had such an ugly exit from a franchise via free agency than LeBron James. With that being said, the majority of fans in Cleveland seemingly have nothing but hate for the league’s best player.

Despite his ugly exit from Cleveland, LeBron James was recently asked whether or not he would return if given the chance after his contract with the Miami Heat expires. LeBron James responded with the following:

“If I decide to come back, hopefully the fans will accept me.”

That definitely leaves the door open for the Cleveland Cavaliers if they desire to bring back the best player in franchise history. The only way this will happen though is if the Big 3 in South Beach fails to win a championship in their seasons together.
