The LeBron James free agency saga is officially over and more than one team are disappointed with the outcome as the Miami Heat really cashed in this summer by signing the three biggest names in the free agent market with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and King James all heading to South Beach.

Now the rest of the league will try and do what they can to compete with the new super power in the NBA, but with the majority of big-name free agents are gone and arguably the best available has just agreed to a sign-and-trade.

Even though the New York Knicks believed they had a great chance of being able to put themselves back into title contention, Mike D’Antoni and company were only able to bring one big-name free agent in All-Star forward Amare Stoudemire. Along with Stoudemire, the Knicks had one other All-Star to consider adding to their roster in David Lee.

Unfortunately, the only option with David Lee seemed to be making a sign-and-trade deal. Despite being the option the Knicks were entertaining, they were at least able to get something in return for their former All-Star center.

Reportedly, the New York Knicks have agreed to sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors. The deal will send David Lee to Golden State with a six-year contract worth $80 million dollars in exchange for Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Kelenna Azubuike.

Personally, I believe this is a step in the right direction for the Golden State Warriors as they will now have a well rounded team with Stephon Curry, Monte Ellis in the backcourt and David Lee in the paint. Check out the latest odds at the top USA online sportsbooks.

The New York Knicks on the other hand have taken a step back in this deal as they are now only left with Amare Stoudemire and a bunch of unproven role players. I guarantee the Knicks aren’t done wheeling and dealing just yet as they still might be willing to go after Raymond Felton and veterans like Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady, but things aren’t looking too promising in the Big Apple.
