Utah Jazz at Phoenix Suns Tues. Feb. 15, 2011 9 p.m. EST

Over the past 23 years, the Utah Jazz have had arguably one of the greatest head coaches of all-time calling the shots on the sidelines in Jerry Sloan. With his recent retirement from the game after an altercation with superstar point guard Deron Williams, the head coaching duties have gone to Tyrone Corbin.

With Corbin having some enormous shoes to fill, the Utah Jazz could be in for an uphill battle throughout the rest of the NBA regular season. In his first game as head coach, the Utah Jazz fell to the Phoenix Suns (95-83), but Deron Williams and company will have a chance to rebound against the Suns as they will be heading into Phoenix to take on Steve Nash’s squad.

Even though these two teams are pretty much playing at the same level right now and could be on the outside looking in on the playoffs if they can’t turn it around, the Jazz will have the clear disadvantage in this game being that it is being played in Phoenix and they will be without versatile forward Andrei Kirilenko.

In their last meeting this past Friday, Kirilenko went down with a right ankle sprain. Even though losing Andrei Kirilenko isn’t like losing Deron Williams or Paul Millsap, the versatile forward can be a game changer with his ability to be a multiple threat on the basketball floor.

The one matchup to watch in this game will be arguably two of the league’s best point guards going head-to-head in Steve Nash and Deron Williams. Despite Williams being the much younger of the two, Nash will almost certainly lead his team to victory in this game.

As of right now, the Phoenix Suns will most likely be favored in this matchup and should cover the spread. Make sure to get in on Tuesday’s NBA betting action before tip off.
