The one thing that people could talk about throughout the All-Star weekend in Los Angeles was whether or not superstar Carmelo Anthony was going to get traded and where he might end up. With just three likely destinations in the Los Angeles Lakers, New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks, the options were limited, but this saga or MELOdrama seems to change with every passing hour.

On Monday morning, a trade for the All-Star forward still hasn’t gone down, but the talks of a future with Melo in the Mile High City have to circulate. Even though Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups seem like the two players that will almost certainly be headed elsewhere, there is one other player on the Nuggets that might also be playing on different team after the NBA trade deadline this Thursday.

Over the past couple of years, sharp shooter J.R. Smith has been rumored to be on his way out in Denver as he has become a distraction at times in the locker room. There is no question that Smith is extremely talented with a sweet outside shot and ability to slash to the basket with the best of them in the league, but whether or not teams would really be interested in a player that could be more of a problem remains to be seen.

The one team that could be interested in the walking tattoo is the Chicago Bulls. Four out of the five starting positions on the Bulls are covered with Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng, but they have had a big hole at shooting guard after Ben Gordon left the Windy City a few seasons ago.

J.R. Smith would be the perfect addition to this team in my opinion as he can bring instant offense and isn’t the worst defender in the league. Smith can be a problem child, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bulls went after him as they try and beat out the Miami Heat for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
