Josh Allen's CRAZY Pass To Stefon Diggs

As the first half of the game at MetLife Stadium comes to a close, the Bills are back in top of the Jets.

The Bills drove 75 yards for their first touchdown of the 2023 season in 11 plays after a Greg Zuerlein field goal made the score 3-3.

On a third down pass to wide receiver Stefon Diggs, quarterback Josh Allen came dangerously close to crossing the line of scrimmage, but referees determined that his back foot was still beyond the line as he threw a five-yard touchdown pass.

Diggs has already made five receptions for 48 yards, and Gabe Davis gained 26 yards to help the Bills set up the touchdown.

118 yards, a score, and an interception on 14 of 17 for Allen. He has also been sacked twice by the Jets, but it hasn’t stopped the Bills from taking the lead.

The Buffalo Bills’ 2023 season got off to a terrible start when they fell to the New York Jets 22-16. Here is a breakdown and analysis of Buffalo’s dismal showing in East Rutherford from Bills Wire.

The much-anticipated first matchup between AFC East rivals saw a startling shift in feelings the whole evening. The Bills offence got off to a dismal start with a five-play drive that ended in a punt.

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for New York, had to leave the drive after only four plays due to an injury. Leonard Floyd sacked the veteran quarterback, and the significant offseason acquisition for the Jets quickly left the field.

After making some inroads, the Bills offence was denied just outside the red zone. Buffalo launched an 11-play drive that came to a stop at the 22-yard line for the Jets.

Allen was sacked by Jets defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, which left the Bills in a challenging third-down scenario. In the end, Allen was unable to guide his team any further, which allowed Tyler Bass to kick a 40-yard field goal.

Allen forced a deep pass downfield, keeping Buffalo’s roller coaster ride going. One of Jordan Whitehead’s three Allen throws that he intercepted that night. The Jets were forced to settle for a field goal to tie the game, though, as Buffalo’s defence maintained control.

As Allen guided the Bills offence on an 11-play, 75-yard drive, the Buffalo offence appeared to be turning the corner. Buffalo led 10-3 as Allen rolled out to his right and hit Stefon Diggs with a throw in the corner of the end zone.

Once more, the Bills’ defence would come up big as Matt Milano picked off Zach Wilson. Buffalo’s offence, though, was only able to respond with a field goal. Still, the Bills led by 10 points going into halftime.

For Allen, the second half was a terrible period. He lost a fumble and lost three more turnovers, with two more interceptions by Whitehead.

The Jets gradually regained control of the contest. Garrett Wilson, a wide receiver for New York, made a spectacular juggling catch to score the opening touchdown of the season for the Jets.

Buffalo’s offence stagnated, while the Jets kept gaining ground on the ground. The Bills defence was gradually destroyed by Breece Hall and Delvin Cook. Despite being far from exciting, the New York offence managed to keep the Jets in the game.

Just after the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, the Jets seized their first lead of the match. To put themselves in position to take a three-point lead, the Jets made a number of prudent play decisions.

Buffalo’s offence showed signs of life after falling behind 16–13.

The group had to act swiftly and decisively. Despite his problems in the second half, Allen rallied to lead the Bills offence within the vicinity of the goal.

With dramatics, Bass kept his promise by just barely making a 49-yard field goal that would have tied the score. The shot clanged against the goal post and went over the crossbar.

In overtime, Buffalo gained possession of the ball but immediately went three-and-out. Sam Martin’s low line-drive punt was miraculously returned 65 yards to the end zone by Jets punt returner Xavier Gipson to secure the victory.
