Giannis Antetokounmpo Signs 3-Year $186m Extension

Agent Alex Saratsis of the Milwaukee Bucks announced on Monday

that player Giannis Antetokounmpo has reached an agreement on a three-year, $186 million contract deal.

Through the term of guard Damian Lillard's contract, Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, is committed to the team.

The deal also eliminates his chance to become a free agent in 2025. It also includes a player option for the 2027–2028 season.

The superstar's announcement of the agreement, which he made public on social media initially

represents one more show of dedication from the team that selected him with the 15th overall choice in the 2013 NBA Draft

out of Greece and helped shape him into one of the league's most formidable players.

The general manager of the Bucks, Jon Horst, went to Chicago on Sunday to meet with Saratsis

and discuss the specifics of an extension that would optimize Antetokounmpo's earnings in the long run.
