Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic At UFC 295 Off

CEO of the UFC Dana White declared on social media on Tuesday

that Jon Jones would not be competing in his much awaited heavyweight title match against Stipe Miocic.

On November 11 in New York, Jones was scheduled to defend the UFC

heavyweight title against the former champion, Miocic, in the main event of UFC 295.

Jones tore a pectoral tendon off the bone during practise on Monday night, according to White.

He will require surgery, which may sideline him for up to eight months.

The main event at Madison Square Garden will now feature a vacant light heavyweight title bout between

former champion JiYí Procházka and former middleweight titleholder Alex Pereira.

Additionally, a new bout has been added as the co-main event, pitting Sergei Pavlovich against Tom Aspinall for the interim heavyweight title.
