New York Giants @ Minnesota Vikings Sun. Dec. 12th 2010 1pm EST
Before this NFL regular season began, the New York Giants were thought to be a good team in the NFC Conference, but not a great team. The Dallas Cowboys were considered to be the team to beat in the NFC East division which would force the New York Giants to compete for the NFC Wildcard, but things haven’t exactly gone the way most people predicted.
Fortunately for Eli Manning company, that hasn’t been the case as the Dallas Cowboys have had a very disappointing season which has left the NFC East division title up to the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.
With that being said, NFC East division titles up in the air right now along with playoff slots within the conference, but every game from here on out will be huge for the Giants as they will need to continue to win in order to keep up with NFL MVP candidate quarterback Michael Vick and the red-hot Eagles.
Coming into Week 14, the New York Giants might have their work cut out for them as they will be going up against a resurgent Minnesota Vikings team led by new head coach Leslie Frazier. With Frazier at the helm, the Vikings have won two straight games and are starting to look like the team everyone thought we would see all season long.
As of right now, the New York Giants are favored to win this NFC Conference showdown with a -3 point spread. That is a bit low in my opinion as three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre could miss this game with a shoulder injury, but with mobile backup QB Tarvaris Jackson stepping in, it gives the Vikings an offense much like the Eagles.
