Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals Sat. Dec. 25th 2010 7:30pm EST
The Dallas Cowboys have been arguably one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season as they have failed to live up to their Super Bowl title contender expectations and will not even make the playoffs. Despite their expectations being shattered even before midseason, America’s Team were able to get a boost of confidence just after midseason when Jerry Jones decided to fire head coach Wade Phillips and promote offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.
So even though the Dallas Cowboys won’t be the first team to play and host a Super Bowl this season, they have played surprisingly well as of late with a new sense of confidence on both sides of the football. One thing that veteran quarterback Jon Kitna and company won’t like moving forward is that they will have to play on Christmas Day against a lowly Arizona Cardinals squad despite playing for virtually nothing. The odds are pretty consistent across most sports books, but Bodog would be our choice for this NFL football betting matchup.
Fortunately, the Dallas Cowboys have been getting some love from the odds makers as they are -6.5 favorites to come out on top in this matchup and for good reason as the Arizona Cardinals been absolutely no chance of even make a game of it.
With the Cowboys firing on all cylinders on both sides of the football right now, especially offense, Dallas should just cruise to victory while covering the -6.5 spread.
The Arizona Cardinals are coming off yet another disappointing loss in Week 15 against arguably the worst team in the league in the Carolina Panthers, but they still have some potent offensive weapons that the Dallas Cowboys will be paying attention to in perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and running back Tim Hightower.
No matter what the Cardinals throw at the Cowboys though, I believe Dallas should get the win with relative ease.
