Ever since the New Orleans Saints has been exposed for the supposed bounties by defensive players to hurt opposing offensive players, this successful NFL franchise has taken a turn for the worst. As if the bounty situation isn’t bad enough for the Saints, the franchise has also had trouble agreeing upon a contract extension for quarterback Drew Brees.

Along with the failed contract negotiations with the face of the franchise and arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, the New Orleans Saints look like they will also miss out on re-signing their number one wide receiver Marques Colston.

Fortunately, there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel for the Saints as they have decided to workout future Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. Even though Moss was a disappointment after short stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans before retiring from the NFL, the once dominant wideout has decided to give it one more shot and the Saints are very interested.

Reportedly, Randy Moss worked out with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday and was impressive to say the least. Apparently, Moss ‘lit it up’ in the workout with the Saints. There was talk of the perennial Pro Bowler looking like the old Randy Moss.

With Marques Colston almost certainly not coming back next season, the New Orleans Saints could take a chance on Randy Moss. There is no telling if he will be the number one wideout, but it would be safe to say that he will get a chance to compete for the role if these reports of his resurgence are true.

Even though Randy Moss may ultimately be given another chance with the New Orleans Saints, the real problem for the team right now is getting Drew Brees re-signed and motivated moving forward. Until that happens, this franchise will be in disarray with an uncertain future.
