Duke Barely Claims NCAA Title

Duke was completely favored by the public for the 2010 NCAA Championship Tournament, with point spreads, money lines, and all other bets rising over the course of Sunday night.  Although Duke was so highly favored, they almost didn’t win.

The buzzer sounded as the last shot of the game, coming from Gordon Hayward, was up in the air.  Every single person in the stadium and at home was holding their breath and just waiting…waiting to see if the shot would swish through the hoop or if it would bounce of the rim and not make it in. 2010 MLB Opening Day

Summer is at our doorstep and when summer nears, it’s time to start pitching, catching, and batting.  In addition, it means that there are new players that tend to make a marking this MLB season and for those players as well as all 26 Major League Baseball teams, it is opening day today.

Last night was the first game of the 2010 MLB season with the Red Sox and Yankees at the Fenway Park.  Red Sox has officially hosted an opening day game for the 99th time this year; however, it is the first out of those 99 opening games that they opened at night rather than a game during the day. 2010 NCAA National Championship Game – Duke Favored

If you’ve been reading the newspapers, online blogs and news sources, or watching the news then it is obvious that they are supporting Duke to win the NCAA National Championship tonight.  The public is right behind media outlets supporting Duke as well.  Duke is up against Butler tonight at 9:21 p.m. Eastern Standard Time in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Looking at the numerous online sports books, you will see that Duke has a large advantage over Butler and is favored to win the title game.  More than 20,000 wagers so far have been placed on this national championship title game with more than half of the public choosing the Duke Blue Devils.  Although Duke is hoping to achieve their fourth NCAA title, this is Butler’s first national championship title game in school history. Shaq could return to the Cleveland Cavaliers before end of NBA regular season

The NBA regular season is coming down to the final stretch with all the teams in the league either making plans for next season or heading into the playoffs in an effort to compete for an NBA title.

Unfortunately, not all the teams heading into the postseason are worthy of competing for title, but the teams that are will be making sure all their key players are healthy and ready to help them in the playoffs.

One of the teams that looks like it has a solid chance of competing for an NBA title in the playoffs and possibly being the frontrunner to win the whole are the Cleveland Cavaliers. Continue Reading…

NCAA Tournament has “probable” chance of expansion

Out of all the sporting events throughout the year in the United States, there are a lot of which get a lot of attention like the Masters of golf, World Series of baseball and the Finals of the NBA, but the one event that absolutely dominates an entire month is March Madness or the NCAA Tournament.

Duke and Butler advance to National Championship game

The Final Four is officially in the books and the teams to advance were no real surprise as the #5 Butler Bulldogs have made the NCAA National Championship for the first time in the school’s history and Coach K and the #1 Duke Blue Devils are going back for yet another shot at winning it all!

Even though it has been a somewhat disappointing pairing for teams coming down the stretch in March Madness, the National Championship game between the Bulldogs and the Blue Devils could turn out to be an all out battle. Continue Reading…
