Android 7.0 Nougat Now Out of Beta Released Today

While all the Nexus device holders are happy with the news of Google rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for them, here is another news that the mobile world is loving it.

The company has announced users with 2015's Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be among the first to get the completed update.

Straying from tradition, Google has released the final version of Android Nougat for its Nexus smartphone series. Few have mentioned specific devices that will certainly be getting it, and of course, a carrier-branded device will also slow these updates event further. A first update of Android Nougat is already announced for the autumn.

Blass tweeted over the weekend that the proper release version of Android 7.0 is due out alongside the next Nexus security patch, which he says is due on 5 August.

Because Android is open source and available across a wide range of products made by different manufacturers, the wait for a new software update can sometimes take months depending on which phone you own. With the new OS version hitting the existing Nexus devices within days, the upcoming Nexus models seems to have lost their key selling point.
