The stage is set for Super Bowl XLV as the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will head to Arlington, Texas to battle it out in a winner take out matchup that could go down as yet another epic showdown on the biggest stage in the NFL.

As usual, getting tickets to the big game is no easy task and as expensive as any sporting event in this country, but even if you are lucky enough to afford and buy a ticket to Super Bowl XLV, you might be in for a surprise when you try and park near Cowboys Stadium on Feb. 6.

Not only are you almost certainly hurting after dishing out the dough for seats at the Super Bowl, but you might have to pay anywhere from $500-900 dollars for a parking spot. This is ridiculous to say the least as most people aren’t willing to dish out this kind of bread for just a parking spot.

Along with almost certainly making a lot of people attending Super Bowl XLV extremely angry, this might really hurt the reputation of the newly built  Cowboys Stadium and if these kind of fees for simple things continue, no one is going to want to attend anything at this billion dollar stadium.

Fortunately, there is a very reasonable alternative for those attending Super Bowl XLV. The NFL has organized parking at the local Six Flags theme park for $71.40 which includes a shuttle that will take you to the stadium’s front gates. The only thing this parking lot doesn’t offer, which seems to be what all the other lots are banking on, is there will be no tailgating at this lot.

Ultimately, the majority of people will most likely go to Six Flags to park, but for diehard football fans the no tailgating will be devastating. NFL football betting does not get any bigger than this.

One Response to “Cowboys Stadium charging $900 per parking spot for Super Bowl XLV”

  1. Dennis Farnik says:

FREE PARKING: Okay Packers and Steelers fans……$900.00 per parking space IS embarassing
and just flat greedy and insane! YOU can park in MY home’s driveway for FREE, only 10 minutes from the Cowboy Stadium. You can take a taxi from here to the Cowboys Stadium. I have room for two (2) confirmed Packers or Steelers fan’s autos (NOT 30 ft. mobile homes— IF you drove all the way down here to support your team (with Wisconsin or Penn) LICENSE PLATES, you do NOT need to be “robbed” to PARK for a few hours!! Do I want anything?? NO. I just want you to have a GOOD time and NOT get ripped off by some greedy person wanting to get rich off this Super Bowl! I’m a TRUE, BLUE Cowboys Fan, but I accept and respect the fact YOUR team is here playing. I will be watching the game on TV inside my home and wish both teams good luck! Your vehicle will be safe here in my quiet driveway! Denny (817-542-7041).
