Five players have signed their one-year tender deals with the Cleveland Browns according to the team announcement made today. Of the five restricted free agents was running back Jerome Harrison. Apart from RB Jerome Harrison was linebackers Matt Roth and veteran D’Qwell Jackson, safety Abram Elam as well as fullback Lawrence Vickers that signed one-year tender deals.

These five restricted free agents had until one minute before the clock struck midnight on Tuesday to sign these deals. If they did not sign the one-year tenders by that time Tuesday night, the team would be allowed to reduce each of their 2009 base salaries by up to 10 percent.

All the players had a base salary that amount to $1.759 million except for LB Matt Roth. Roth’s base salary is $1.809 million due to the five accrued seasons rather than four. Roth started for Cleveland for their final six season games where he recorded 28 tackles and four sacks.

In the 2006 NFL Draft, Harrison was a selection in the fifth round. He recorded 561 yards ran in the final three games for Cleveland last year. On December 20, in a win against Kansas City, Harrison gained a total of 286 years, which was third-highest in NFL history for a single game.

Jackson was chosen in the 2006 NFL draft in the second round out of Maryland. In 2009, he participated in six games, all of which were starts for him, and recorded 59 tackles as well as two passes defensed.

Elam recorded 91 tackles, two passes defensed, and a single sack in his 16 contests. Vickers participated in 16 games back in 2009, nine of which were starts. He caught eight passes for a total of 27 yards and a single touchdown.
