PlayStation Now will stream games from the cloud to your PC

27 August 2025

Up to 400 PlayStation games are about to become playable on PC with the "PlayStation Now" offering by Sony. This marks the first time that PS Plus membership prices will increase in the USA and Canada since the launch of the service in 2010.

Sony told gamers on Tuesday, August 23 (August 24, Manila time) that its streaming game service, PlayStation Now, would be able to stream or broadcast PlayStation-exclusive titles to the Windows PC. But with the ever-growing library consisting of many games, like God of War and The Last of Us, the time to be a PlayStation Now subscriber is now. The adapter allows wireless connection for PS4 controllers to PCs and Macs and can be used for both PS Now and PS4 Remote Play.

As per details on Techcrunch, the adapter is set for an early September launch, with a price tag of Dollars 24.99, and will work with the PlayStation 4 games.

While the DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adaptor will not be available until September, and you don't actually need it if you don't mind using a USB cable, the second announcement is something you might want to try.

Sony has a big meeting scheduled in NY in a couple of weeks, but it's looking more and more likely that the key focus of that event will be the unveiling of PlayStation Neo, as well as the rumored-to-death PlayStation 4 slim model.

Sony recently announced a new product that you can plug into a USB port on your computer that will let you use your PlayStation 4 controller when you're playing games on your PC. To run PS Now, user's PC should feature Windows 7 (SP1) or higher OS versions; 3.5GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8GHz AMD A10 or faster processor; 2GB RAM or more; and a sound card. The update brings more Windows 10 compatibility when streaming games from the console to PC. Aside from the redesign, it seems that the PS4 Slim will also come with a controller that will feature a front-facing lightbar.

Sony recommends a preferably wired internet setup, with a minimum 5Mbps connection required to use PS Now on any device.
